Broadway Applause: Ages 14+

For all our ages 14+ teenage performers HKA is so proud to offer our very popular premier "BROADWAY APPLAUSE" Musical Theater class. This is our most advanced Musical Theater performing group and is for high school age students only. This is a core class for these students. Students study advanced singing, dancing and acting for the stage, specializing in Musical Theater. They will also develop character skills such as hard work, self-discipline and team spirit and they learn audition techniques as well. This course is designed to help our students prepare for professional experiences. They perform in two big shows during the school year and can participate in the "SPOTLIGHT SERIES" TALENT SHOWS 2X per year. They may also represent HKA through community performances. This class is so exciting and fun. Space is Limited.

Broadway "BRAVO": Ages 13-14 yr.

HKA is so proud to offer our very popular "BROADWAY BRAVO" Musical Theater class. This is a core class for these middle aged students. Students study advanced singing, dancing and acting for the stage, specializing in Musical Theater. This class is specifically designed for all our eighth and ninth grade students who have experience in the Performing Arts in either singing, dancing or acting. This class is Intermediate to Advanced level and is not for beginners. These students are more passionate about their developing their talents and want to be with other kids share that passion. This class meets for two hours and will perform twice per semester. They will also develop character skills such as hard work, self-discipline and team spirit and they learn audition techniques as well. This course is designed to help our students to prepare for professional experiences. They perform in two big shows during the school year and participate in the "SPOTLIGHT SERIES" talent shows twice per year. They may also represent HKA through community performances. This class is so exciting and fun. Space is Limited. Early registration is recommended.

Broadway "ENCORE": Ages 11-12 yr.

For all our 11 ' 12 year old age students HKA is so proud to offer our very popular "BROADWAY ENCORE" Musical Theater class. This is a core class for these middle aged students. Students study singing, dancing and acting for the stage, specializing in Musical Theater. They will also develop character skills such as hard work, self-discipline and team spirit and they learn audition techniques as well. The goal is to help them become strong Triple Threat performers and this class is essential to their progression. They perform in two big shows during the school year and participate in the "SPOTLIGHT SERIES" TALENT SHOWS 2X per year. This class is so exciting and fun. All students are eligible to audition. Solo

Broadway Stars: Ages 8-10

BKA is so proud to offer all more advanced students between the ages of 8 and 10 years an opportunity to participate in our very popular professional “BROADWAY STARS” class. Students study advanced singing, dancing and acting for the stage, specializing in Musical Theater. They also develop character skills such as hard work, self-discipline and team spirit and they learn audition techniques as well. This course is designed to help our students to prepare for professional experiences. They perform in two big shows during the school year and participate in the “SPOTLIGHT SERIES” TALENT SHOWS 2X per year. They also perform in the community as ambassadors for HKA. This class is so exciting and fun. Participation in this group is by audition only. All students are eligible to audition. Please call 633-5500 for an appt. Auditions are held in throughout the year. Acting Fundamentals

Theatre Fun Ages 8-18 yrs. Broadway Kids Academy is thrilled to offer a fun and technically amazing Acting class focusing on "THEATRE FUN" (fundamentals). Your child will delight in learning the most fun aspects of Acting including Comedy, Improvisation, the Classics, Shakespeare and Auditioning. These skills and others are taught during our weekly, hour-long class. Your child will learn up to 5 new monologues, endless improvisational skills and the scene work necessary for every professional actor. This class is now a part of the "Triple Threat" (3T) and the "Quadruple Threat" (4T) programs as well.

Broadway Dance & Vocal “GLEE” Classes

As a part of our professional students training, we have provided more advanced, pre-professional dance programs for our more advanced students. These classes are more rigorous and demanding, but are designed to challenge and fulfill the student’s desires to excel while having fun. These classes complete their Triple Threat training. The Dance classes include Broadway Dance “STARS”, Broadway Dance “ENCORE” and BROADWAY DANCE “APPLAUSE”. The Vocal Classes include “GLEE STARS”, “GLEE ENCORE” and “GLEE APPLAUSE”. Over time these classes will give the students the more advanced preparation that they need in all areas of dance and voice to be able to compete in their communities and professionally.
