BKA Class and Show Attire and Costume
Below are listed the basic attire for all BKA classes and shows. Please
read this carefully so that your student will be properly prepared.
We want all our students to feel safe and comfortable at BKA. For this reason all costumes and class attire must be modest and non-revealing. Shoulders should be covered with a cap sleeve, No visible flesh in the torso area including cleavage, belly, and buttocks. Shorts should extend past the fingertips. Girls who wear skirts should have shorts on underneath.
Basic Class Attire
Musical Theater Class Attire
Requirements: Jazz shoes and loose fitting clothing that they can move and dance in.
All class attire should fit the modesty requirement stated above.
BKA Broadway Dance Class Attire
Ballet: Bun Only - No Bangs.
All Other Classes: Pulled back off face - bun or ponytail - No bangs.
Must be kept to a minimum. No big earrings or long necklaces. Take off bracelets.
Broadway Dance Pre-School Attire (Ages 3 & 4yrs.)
Pink Ballet Shoes
Dance Skirt or Shorts Optional
Black Tap Shoes
Black Jazz Shoes
Broadway Dance 5+ yrs.
Leotard - Any color, pink or black tights or leggings
Capris or pants - Not too baggy
Sleeved shirt - not too baggy
Dance Skirt or tight fitting shorts optional
Ballet shoes, Jazz shoes – Black, Jazz sneakers or athletic/tennis shoes (Tap when called for by teacher)
Hair - Must be up Bun or Pony Tail - No Bangs
BKA Show Costumes
Clothing required to wear under costumes will be posted one month before shows.
