Does your child love Broadway and Disney? Do they love to sing, dance and act? Do they want to perform on stage? If so, then this fun Broadway Kids Academy's fun Musical Theater camp is a perfect fit! It will take your child on an amazing adventure through the worlds of Broadway and Disney and more. They will develop their singing, dancing and acting talents to some of the best shows of Broadway & Disney. At the end of the camp they will perform for you on stage in costumes and under the lights. They are going to have so much fun in this camp! You are going to love seeing them on stage! Space is very limited. Early Registration is advised. Sibling discounts available. CAMP DETAILS for 5-8 year old Camp. Children in this camp should be 5 years old. Campers not yet 5, please register in half day camp! Camp Check In starts each day at 8:30am. M-TH Camp is finished at 2:30pm. All students need to be picked up promptly at 2:30pm.On Friday students come at 8:30am and camp is over after the 11am show. Singing - Each camper has the opportunity to sing a solo. The teachers will help each student decide which one of the two songs to sing and work on during camp. Sometimes more than one student will choose the same song, in which case the teachers will offer for the students to sing a duet or they will offer the students another song that fits their voice, or is featured in one of the camp's scenes. Students will come home Tuesday knowing what song they are singing as a solo. They need to memorize their song by Thursday AM, so please help them practice at home. Dancing - Please come prepared to move each day. There is a dress code at Broadway Kids; it is listed below and on our website. Shorts and a T-shirt is the perfect thing to wear and be comfortable singing & dancing. If you have dance shoes, bring them, if you don't have dance shoes bring sneakers or socks. NO SANDALS OR FLIP FLOPS PLEASE!! Acting - We will work each day on acting skills, stage directions, audition skills and getting into character. Our camp curriculum includes scenes from some of the best Disney shows. Everyone will be assigned a part in one of the scenes, students should come home Tuesday knowing what scene they are in. They will need to memorize their lines for their scene by Thursday AM. Lunch & Snacks: Each camper should bring their own sack lunch, snacks and water only to drink! For the safety of all students, we will not allow any sharing of food, please avoid sending nuts. Show What You Know!! As part of our camp, students will "show what they know" at the end of the week. Show time for the 5-8 year old camp is 11am. Everyone will check into camp at 8:30 am Friday morning and then their camp will be over when their show is over. Parents should plan on attending the camp show and taking their child home afterward. Children in this camp should be 5 years old. Campers not yet 5, please register in half day camp!
